Mikael Rojas is a Partner at Outten & Golden LLP, where represents plaintiffs nationwide in class action employment and civil rights cases. Mikael has handled cases challenging workplace discrimination based on virtually every type of protected characteristic under the law, including race, national origin, disability, age, religion, and sex and gender, and has also represented scores of workers challenging wage theft by some of the nation’s largest employers. Mikael has represented people from virtually every walk of life, from valet drivers and janitors to congressional staffers and senior executives. From 2022 to 2024, Mikael served as Senior Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Justice, where senior career and political leaders at the Justice Department and across the government on a range of civil rights and economic issues. Mikael previously served as a civil rights fellow at Relman Colfax PLLC and clerked for the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. He is a graduate of Stanford Law School and Washington State University.
