Chava Brandriss is a partner in the Banking and Financial Services group of the law firm of Davis Wright Tremaine, LLP, and before that was an attorney with the Hogan Lovells law firm. She handles lawsuits and investigations and provides regulatory advice and counsel in the consumer financial services space, positioning clients to avoid future risk and minimize potential exposure. She is a frequent speaker on consumer financial services legal and regulatory issues, often focusing on fair lending and fair housing topics. Passionate about pro bono service, Chava is particularly committed through her pro bono work to combatting housing segregation, which she strongly believes underlies the entrenched racial inequality that persists in our society. A highlight of Chava’s pro bono work includes successfully trying, through appeal, a long-running fair housing lawsuit challenging policies that perpetuate residential segregation in the New York suburbs, an important victory for fair and affordable housing with nationwide impact. Chava graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University in 2003, and received her law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, in 2008. She is admitted to practice law in New York and Washington, D.C.
