May 27, 2016 by

Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing in the National Housing Trust Fund: Our new policy brief offers guidance to states and state based housing and civil rights advocates working on the development of the first round of state allocation plans for the recently funded Housing Trust Fund.  Read our brief here.

Helping HUD improve the AFFH process:  we filed coalition comments with the National Fair Housing Alliance, Lawyers Committee and other groups, on the proposed “Assessment of Fair Housing” tools for public housing agencies and local governments.  See our comments here.

Pushing back against housing voucher discrimination:  We have updated our guide to state and local source of income discrimination laws – with new local ordinances in Ohio, California, Pennsylvania, etc (and ongoing statewide campaigns underway in California and Maryland) PRRAC testimony at the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights:  We joined about twenty other witnesses at a USCCR hearing last week for an in-depth look at “Public Education Funding Inequality in an Era of Increasing Concentration of Poverty and Resegregation.”   Read our testimony here.
