“The Suburban Promise of Brown: Addressing Challenges to Sustaining Racially Diverse Schools and Communities”: A major symposium at Teachers College, Columbia University, on Friday, May 2, will look at the relation between housing and school policy in suburban communities, and how stable economic and racial diversity can be maintained.  Space is still available – there is no cost to attend but registration is required.  Register and see the conference agenda here.

“Using Human Rights to Advance Racial Justice: An Introduction to the ‘Race Treaty'”: Join the U.S. Human Rights Network’s CERD Taskforce for an introductory webinar on the “Race Treaty,” also known as the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (CERD), and the upcoming review of the U.S. Government by the U.N. CERD Committee (PRRAC is a member of the USHRN CERD Task Force).  The webinar is scheduled for Wednesday, April 23, 2014, 2:00-3:30 pm EDT.  Register here.
